Can not wait. Part 1 was very good after plenty of patching, seeing as I will buy this game on the release date it will hopefully be a bit more polished from the start.

Looking forward to this, loved the first one, especially as I remember it being more gritty than the now far too polished DAO2.

I tied playing the original the other day, and was infuriated by the crappy control/combat system, to the point where i stopped playing after an hour.

I hope the sequel is better in that regard.

i'll be honest and admit i have never played the original, however with so many devs abandoning the pc scene it feels only right i pick this up.

It really annoyed me to start with but once you get into the hang of it I remember it being surprisingly good TBH.

Hard Disk: 8 GB for the game installation and 8 GB for bonus materials

While space isn't really that big of an issue for me I really do wonder what sort of "bonus materials" could take up 8GBs of space. Is it in-game content that enhances the gaming experience or out of game content like "the making of the game videos" + "game soundtrack". . . I'd certainly like to know more about what is included with the game as an optional install of 8GBs. :)

Got mine on pre order from GoG (although you don't pay upfront so it's not really a pre order, more a gentleman promise lol). Never really got into any RPG's but I'm gonna give this a blast due to it being a AAA PC exclusive and their DRM stance. Normally I prefer my games tied to my Steam account but I'll make an exception in this case.

Just got the first one off Steam though, figure I'll give it a blast. And if it ends up that I don't like either game then all good, kinda happy to support this cause. Hope it all works out for them and we can see some more exclusive AAA, DRM free PC games in the future.

I'm sure my 2600k and 6870 can handle it fine.

Not to be pedantic but my 2x8800 GTX's each have 768Mb of RAM and not the 512Mb (8800 GT?) the spec. presumably refers to!

I've not played The Witcher 1, and I'm not much of an RPG fan, but I think I am going to buy this, if they haven't borked it, which I severly doubt they will, just to help show that the PC is the premier platform, and that PC sales are very good if the devs release a good game. Not the reskin that is the new COD every year.
