So my secondary graphics card developed some issues and replaced it with a Quadro NVS 510 I had laying about

Problem is I can't figure out how to get that 2089 Super and 510 to play nice. Drivers are the issue to be specific

Install 510 drivers and it works but 2080S drops to MS basic driver so performance isn't there

Install 2080S drivers and 510 gets disabled with that yellow warning triangle in device manager, "could not load driver"

Any ideas how I could get both working at the same time?

What happens if you install the 2080 drivers from Nvidia but let Windows update deal with the NVS 510 drivers? Might have to look in the optional drivers section.

    Update

Tried both 510s (for some reason I have two, don't ask). Both work fine with their drivers installed but chucking in drivers for 2080S "breaks" those cards meaning yellow triangle in device mangler. Can't be arsed to fiddle with this any more so bought a 1060 from someone

I'm just curious, what do you need the secondary graphics for?

Bragging rights  Nah I've had a beefy GPU for the main monitor and an El Cheapo for rest of the monitors for a long time now, think having a dedicated OS drive + games drive instead of having it all on one

Should have gone for a gamer-ish card from the get go as that 1060 solved my problem pretty much instantly

You could have just driven all the monitors off of the single GPU with a display port MST hub.
