Would I be better getting the 3200+ and overclocking it to 3500 speeds or should I save the 50 dollars and get the 3000+ and oc that to 3200 speeds? Right now im leaning towards the 3200+ but is it really worth the money? felt like sticking in some random smilies.
Indeed, 2.4ghz should be do-able, its a slight gamble though, some chips wont even break 2.3ghz.. Another factor is the multiplier, you'll need 244 fsb to get 2.2 ghz (3500) with the 3000 (9* default multi), and 220 with the 3200 (default 10*). If you're ram is poor and wont overclock then both options may require you to run a memory divider. 220 @ 5:6 divder puts memory at 183, 244 with the same divider puts memory at 203. If you have decent ram however then this wont be a problem,
yer what mother board are you using iv hit 2.5 easy just the temp hits teh roof well nearly lol, so i bemch it on 2.4 ish , i have same chip and the av8 3rd eye
Wait for a few weeks until the Venice is widely available and get a 3000+; At the stock voltages those CPUs churn out 800 Mhz overclocks on the stock heatsink or is so rumoured
