Hi people, I was wondering which sentence would be correct, if any of them are correct at all. Could you help me here? 1. User profiles contain a lot of settings and data whose configuration users invested much time in. 2. User profiles contain a lot of settings and data for which the users invested much time to configure. 3. User profiles contain a lot of settings and data the users invested much time to configure. Thanks in advance Cheers, Fred
The third sentence of your would be the easiest to understand. I'd Say: Users profiles contain settings and data, which users invest a lot of time into configuring/personalising I'm sure somebody else would be able to structure it better than I have.
All of your sentences make sense, so good work. I'd suggest: User profiles contain personalised settings and data that users will have spent lots of time configuring. or User profiles contain personalised settings and data, which users will have spent a lot of time configuring. All the best
