I'm just so jealous on all those people with Lian-Li's  ... The only thing that makes me happy about it is that most of the modders with these cases threat them very VERY well :hip:

Edit: Here everything works as well...

    Finally an update:

I got all the wiring sleeved and lengthened to how I need it. I installed a switch underneath for the lights. There are 3 uv cathodes.

Also in the mail I got my custom logo fangrill just have to shine this baby up and get some mesh behind it:

Anyways, the first thing I did was cut a piece of black acrylic to cover the bay areas:

I will remove the covering later on of course.

I also cut another black acryl piece for next to the motherboard. Later this one will have an applique of the name on it full size.

    in its spot
    [IMG]

The window itself I was going to go normal with. A top and bottom area with no molding. I made the initial cuts and then started filing and sanding the edges
    [IMG]

A test fit brought some problem areas to my attention which I then focused on fixing
    [IMG]

Once all done I had to get rid of the ugly silver in the window. Basically even when you cut black cases, the edges underneath are silver. This is fixed with a sharpie permanent black marker.

With that done I installed the acrylic. I am using black tint acrylic. Here is with some of the doublesided tape in place
    [IMG]

    Top installed

    Bottom installed
    [IMG]

On the case with no lights
    [IMG]

On the case with light on behind

I also did all the tubing and its ready for a water test starting tomorrow.

Pump and T Line placement (The tubing is not how it is in the final):

This was before I finished though, so the route of the tubes is different.
Here is how it is now ready for the test tomorrow:

Things should be totally done sometime this week/weekend. All depends on work as usual. While it seems I am a slow modder, the truth is time just isn't there.

Looks awesome so far! I really like the side panel - I had never thought of using double sided tape stuff for it - excellent idea!

This is one of the first times I used the tape. I usually bolt on, but wanted a clean look on this case. The stuff works great!

I decided to hell with waiting and used this as an excuse to get a new motherboard today.

Right after I got back from buying it I started the hardware install. The mod is not done, but its finally at the part where I can use the PC.

I brought down the current comp for the swap:

    And the glory below

    And the gpu block next

Well thats where I am at. I am also happy to announce that even though I am cooling a GPU and CPU with a small rad my temps are 6c lower than before on the cpu and 5c lower on the GPU. May look to add a second rad in the future.

This mod is almost done now. Whats left is a front LCD, side logo and lettering in Aluminum mounted to the side, and appliques on the inside black acrylic.

    Til then.

Drexial> I got it at a local shop. Check your phonebook for acrylic suppliers. The place I used is Laird plastics.

    customholle> Thanks :)

I love the smokey plexi, it makes the glowing tubes look like some kind of hologram or something :)

Great modd with alot of god details.

The fillport is like the dot over the I, hope that this is adage is't a danish one.

The window is great to. But it is to bad that there is't some light in the bottom part of the case.

But all in all one of the best modd on the site, because it is simple an clean.

Can I ask you a simpel question, is not regarding your modd, but the case you are using. How much space is there between the motherboard and the sidepannel:

Is there space to place a sheat of plexi :D

What was that other case you had a picture of next to the Lian Li?

Stubkier> The bottom does have a light too. Just don't have an extra inverter yet to connect it. But no worries, it WILL be lit.

There is enough room for a very thin **** of plexi only. In my case it was thick so I had to cut the plexi to the area. Was tough.

phuzz> It was the Lian Li PC-73SLB

Correct me if I am wrong, but from what I can see your case does not have a window on both sides of the case.

My question is regarding the space between the sidepannel on the left side (looking at the case from the front) - hoe much room is there between the left sidepannel and the motherbordtray.

In the picture that I posted before, it is clear that there is't to much space between the "case divider" (the thing that is placed just under the motherboardtray)

I hope that i made my self a bit more understandable this time around. because I think your modd is great and would like to do something similar to it, only based on aircooling :)

When you say thin do you meen 5mm or 3mm ?

I hope you don't mind me asking alot of questions.
