I'm trying to get some more ambient music, but the electronica.
I don't get any names here, it's all comercial, so can you please tell me some names of groups or people doing this kind of music?

I already have Aphex Twin and also The Future Sound of London, but I want to get to know some new names. ;)

I'm pretty sure I knew of a group called Electrostatic at one point and they did SOME electronica tracks, but moved away fro it shortly after. If you can fish out some of their stuff, you might like it.

Sorry it's not much of a lead.

    Squarepusher

Chaos AD (AFAIK this is Squarepushers alter ego)

Omni Trio (more recent stuff is very ambient-ish drum'n'bass, prefer the older stuff myself but hey..)

    The Dust Brothers

    As above ^^ (esp. kid606).

I've gone mad on M83 at the moment. Listening to 'Safe' makes me cry... in a good way.

    Xela?
I've downloaded some stuff from DJ Xela and it's all "party music", jamaican style.
Are you sure you didn't get confused? :eyebrow:

at the moment im rather enjoying

    rjd2
    and
    felix da housecat

they are both totally different, and im not entirely sure both are strictly considered as electronica, but i hate pigeon holing things, and im sure some clever bunny will correct me :)

I don't even know what to classify them as, but you should look into Shpongle. They're some kind of electronica, and their music is incredibly unique.

I'm trying all those groups you've recommended me. :)
I'm still getting stuff and I haven't checked every group you've recommended, but I'm doing it little by little. ;)

I like Omni Trio, I didn't know this one, and yes, they are into dnb, which I like. :)

I just bought two really good albums by "GodIsAnAstronaut"

Bought the albums on the strength of just the demo tracks they have on their website. Really good ambient music. No vocals.
