I've got my PC under load doing some DVD rip encoding, and I opened SpeedFan just to have a look at the temperatures when I noticed the voltages. A few of those seem to be quite out from what I'd expect to see, should I be concerned?
The first thing I'd be doing before jumping to any conclusions is to cross reference against another utility for checking voltages/temps. HWMonitor is another good utility for this. Try that and see if the votages are any different. Also one of your temps is listed as being -128 degrees. Either you have a dodgy sensor or SpeedFan is playing up. Again, check this against another program such as HWMonitor. HWMonitor: http://www.cpuid.com/softwares/hwmonitor.html
Speedfan and HWmonitor always have sensing problems, one guy's HWmonitor said his CPU was using 140KW+!!! (edit: it was Bulldogjeff) I stick to using Real temp for CPU temps, MSI Afterburner for GPU temps, GPU-Z for GPU voltages and tertiary temps and Asus Probe for motherboard stuff
Also, just noticed you're getting a reading for the -5V output. IIRC (someone please correct me if I'm wrong) but the -5V output went out a long time ago back in ATX 1.3 standards. If this is the case then this may indicate that your PSU is perhaps fairly old, in which case that may be the reason for your voltages being out of spec. Let us know what PSU you have and how long you have had it for etc.
Oi, stop hating SpeedFan, I use it on my desktop and has never failed me The sensor probably isn´t connected, I have that aswell, you can just turn it off in options.
Its a motherboard sensor. The software can glytch out, just like all sensing software, just I've seen more glytches with SpeedFan and HWmonitor than any others. Afterburner does it from time to time for me, states my GPU is a -30C...
