Interesting look into the field tbh. Extreme overclocking currently sits in the area known as "black magic" for me, it's amazing how much detail they have to go into in order to extract the maximum potential from a given piece of hardware. It's also interesting to hear about how well 8Pack's systems are doing too. You rarely get to hear much about what the market is actually like at that end of the hardware spectrum.

Missed the main comp but caught the freestyle benching on the sunday. The commentators were class craic and I picked up quite a bit of knowledge from it .Gonna catch up on the replays on the overclocking tv youtube channel. Good for Asus , Caseking ,Corsair and the different sponsors for keeping this alive , what with Intel and Nvidia trying to limit/stop overclocking ; Hmmm, take note AMD , maybe bring some overclockers on board and get an edge on the competition.

AMD have taken on an overclocker, and one of the very best at that. His alias is barbonet. He's due to go to Texas early next year, and work in AMD's HQ.

The bad luck for Ian and Roman is really unfortunate, but it happens.

Nope :D and it constantly spills everywhere. I asked 8Pack if he'd ever been burnt by it - "Yeah, of course!"

It's not quite the epitome of health and safety - which is all fun and games until someone gets hurt of course.

Like I said before, hardware lottery, even the best can run into a wall as a result of your hardware just not being as well made as someone else's or throwing a curve ball like cold bugging at different temps with more GPU's installed..

It's good they've highlighted they need to get more new people involved because to me it's not as popular as it once was and those that once played a lot, don't play at all now.

Playing around with LN2 is tricky, I know these guys set up overclocking weekends and if you don't mind risking your hardware, then it's a lot of fun with a really good team spirit as long as you're happy with the risks, I thoroughly recommend it.
