Hey Guys, I don't know if a thread had been started on this topic, if it is, they I am sorry. But if it isn't then check out Asus's Website for the upcoming X38 Based Motherboard Line-Up.

My advice: If you want a Maximus - GET ONE QUICK if they are truly limited quantity.

As for review... wait a few hours ;)

So when can we see Bit-Tech's X38: DDR2 Vs DDR3 showdown? I'd love to see a Maximus Formula up against an Extreme, comparing the performance of some mid-level DDR2, high-end DDR2, the cheapest DDR3 you can get and the most expensive extreme stuff.

shame they are so late in releasing them.

that DDR2 Maximus certainly looks tasty. but it's DDR2, other DDR2 X38 boards (namely Gigabyte's one) don't seem to perform very well

I found a pic of the Extreme which looks different than the Formula.

I'm also wondering if they are implementing the CrossLinx like the Blitz seires? Would be ashame if they didn't, having two x8 lanes using Crossfire would be a plus to this board.

If the Maximus Extreme is x38 based, it has 2x PCI-E 2.0 x16 and then whatever the other physical x16 slot runs at.
