That high speed bouncing pink banner and stupid grinning face constantly moving around the top of every article is highly annoying. I do not object to your adverts or the placement of them in the page but that one is very distracting. :sigh:

It's the same as an orange one that was going around last week on here. Looked like a great deal but when you got to the orange website there was absolutely no sign of the deal advertised.

Does anyone from the advertising side of Dennis/bit now frequent these forums to read these comments or are we better sending notification of oopsies to the bloke listed on the "About" page? or are we better shoving our heads in sand?

    Hi All,

I guess I am your new point of contact regarding the adverts on bit-tech. We have contacted Orange and Be Broadband regarding your comments so hopefully we should get some new adverts from them - so watch this space!
In the meantime I apologize for any annoying adverts and offer’s which are not valid. However saying this you should contact the company direct and let them know your thoughts as this is very useful for them, they may even send you something for free to say sorry- you never know but it’s a shot and theres no harm in trying! :)

Hi arti, nice to see you responding directly to some advertising concerns the community have.
Would you like to take this opportunity to respond to this thread, I believe many would appreciate your honest opinion and intentions.

I don't think Arti has anything to do with the Intellitxt as it bypasses the sales department.

I have to add my $0.02 worth here. As a colonial, I find Bit-Tech to be one of the most user friendly EU sites I visit. None of the emails, Intelitext stuff, or these floating colored thingies make here. Tis nice. The US sites are annoying enough - probably why I live on BT.

That and some of the US sites have ungodly colors(colours) that will make a grown person weep.
