My pc long with my portable hdds are going on a big ship from here to the other side of the world soon, worse case scenario some pleb helps themselves to my kit etc i want to host some files online as a back up thought the biggest is a encrypted 200gb file that contains personal photos, music as well financial stuff..

Is there a site preferable free i could upload the files for a few months?

Are you going to return at some point? If so I would think the best way would be to buy a cheap hard drive or 2 to put the data on and leave it with someone as others have said.

Depending on what connection you are on it would take an insane amount of time to upload 200gb, from your wording it sounds like the total size is bigger, as your largest file is 200gb.

My BB is 50mb so upload is 5mb, which equates to roughly 625KB/s, it would take somewhere in the region of 105 hours to upload 200GB of data. That is assuming you have a solid, consistent connection, this is calculated with a 10% overhead (link to calc)

I think 200GB is ridiculous to upload, like matticus calculated you're looking at like a week's worth of transfer... best solution is copy to external hard drive and take it with you or leave it somewhere safe. If the data's important it's more than worth the price.
