Hey I was wondering if I can use aluminum wheel polish on polishing copper heatsinks, such as my Volc7+. The product I have is Mothers Mag & Aluminum Polish. I've tried it on aluminum heatsinks and it makes it literally a mirror finnish. I was wondering if it would work the same on copper...will it?
Good question m8.. ) Please.. if your using Motherboard Monitor.. Can you post your temps in this thread ?? in Celius please.. Am having an heat issue here, and we have the same spec...
there's no reason i can think of why your ally polish won't work on copper, i've used t-cut (auto paint polish) on aluminium when polishing motorcycle parts before now .. all polishes are abrasives, they just vary in how fast they do th job when used on metal but if you are just looking for a really nice visual effect i recommend Brasso and a toothbrush for th nooks and crannies and Duraglit to finish along with some really nice soft cloth u just gotta remember to supply th elbow grease with it
Then there's something wrong here... I ran it at high ( 7000rpm ) for about 10min and it dropped to about 46*C but still no where near our 42*C. I even opened the side for more cool air, but no...
Well some batches of chips might get hotter than others. It also depends on the thermal compound. I have Arctic Silver.
Damn.. looking at my mbm as i wrote that i noticed the cpu temp gone up to 58*C idle... something must be wrong here.. air pocket or something. *moved it around a little and i'm down to 56*C as i write this..* Something is seriously wrong here.... ouch
Sweet it can be polsihed... It is a perfect, copper, mirror finish...a beautiful sight. I think it might have dropped a degree.
