I had an incident like that. A friend and I were out having fun on his little 5hp go-cart. I was driving, and we were pulling up to his house, and I'm still not sure what happened, but the brakes didn't stop it, and I drove right into the side of his several hundred dollar per foot vinyl siding. His father was not very happy at all.

WTF is that? I could have understood it if it was diamond encrusted ivory with extra expensive varnish made from the tears of a virgin or something like that. I've never heard of such. (Genuine curiosity BTW)

To defend would-be hyped-up claims of high-cost-piracy i have to say that those figures really aren't that hard to get to. Mapping products is a very good example. A nice topographic map of sweden steps in at 1000 SEK/piece of Sweden (ten pieces). And the equivalent in another format is 4000 SEK/piece (not sure how many pieces, something like 15...). And thats only 8gb of data.

    Oh, the obligatory confession:
    I'm just a tad racist.
I used to shoplift, much. I stole one of each, and more of those i knew i would need, dremel-tools in one go. And got away with it. :D
I stole crazy ammounts of stuff from school. Tools, notepads, pens, other stuff. They would come to rue (sp?) the day(s) they left the supplycloset(s) open.

urmm.....well i got into a fight last night...well it didnt go into fisty cuffs but im the first person in my indian community to have a physical encounter/fight with someone at a religious event....man ive havent had a fight in over 10 or so years..but i just switched last night..after this guy was rude/insulting to me another friend of mine and the parking attendant at the even after we told him to move his car(he was blocking in other people)

ge grabbed me by my coller(i lost my gold necklase and Ohm sign(the hindu symbole)) and i grabbed him by the wrist then his watch and woulnt let go i was shouting at him that he had to appoligise then the whole hall got envolved...even my mum. about 20 people couldnt get my hands free from his wrist...i didnt know i was that strong.

eventually he was trying to get away but his watch cut into my hand and his wrist.

so after abotu 2/3mins of emence shouting and pulling i let him go..everyone was trying to calm me down...man i never felt so alive..there was all this talk about who started it ...but it was him.

in the end i went home...got details from my friend and the parking attendant who would be my witnesses if i got arrested.....actually theres atill a chance that i might get arrested :hehe: but i got witnesses so people can back my story up and my reasons behind it....also my mum works for the Anti-terrorist squad so i got some back-up if needed....im just pis*ed that i lost my chain as my mum gave it to me as a 17yo bday present.

well, back in the days when google adsense was just starting up...a buddy and i realized that the word "mesothelioma" which is a type of asbestos caused cancer, was the most highly paid ad on the face of the earth. We set up a few websites, with google ads, and raked in almost $1700 over the course of 5 months. 2 times we had accounts shut down, but we opened new ones...so that paid for web hosting, computers and all kinds of stuff.

    longtime reader, first time poster

well, for starters, i too am a virgin <deafening gasp from bit-tech posters>

also, i was in a slight car accident yesterday. went to Duluth but kinda forgot about the incessant construction. was merging into the single lane left open and this sonofab*tch pulled right in front of me; no time to stop, so i rear-ended him. didn't stop though, he followed me for awhile then decided to let it go. best part was i wasnt even wearing my seatbelt and i actually left my seat a little bit... had i been going any faster, i would have cracked my head on the windshield. so that was fun.

I went to a party and got copiously drunk, we then decided to go for a drive and started this bet of who could bring back the best trophy. two teams of 3 people, I was on the second team, when we got back to the house 2 hours later we saw a fully working set of temporary traffic lights in the front garden. they thought they won until they saw a live pengiun in the back seat of the car. we kept it in the bathtub and fed it fish fingers until about 6am when we drove back to the zoo and left it outside the front entrance.

I'm not sure exactly why it was so expensive, but it was. They spent ~$4000 to do all the skirting around their house. And I took out like 6 of the panels. I think it may have ben closer to 75-100 or so per panel, but either way, it was damn expensive stuff! I know I felt terrible, and helped them do bunches of work at their place to help pay for it.
