For some reason, I just can't get excited about Core i5.

i5 will be nice but not ground-breaking. Maybe that's why, Para?

    Yeah, probably.

There is better stuff already available, with the prospect of something truly ground-breaking on the horizon (Larrabee)...

Intel is not briefing anyone on it until AFTER Computex to avoid leaks.

It's a good thing I'll still be here until the 16th then... :D:D

Also i5 = boring. I agree, but with no new graphics cards, no new Atom, no new AMD CPUs on show - it's the only thing you lot havent seen before :(

My regular old dual-core looks so silly now. Still can't get too excited about the Core i5 as it basically fits into the weird gap between Core 2 and Core i7. I mean, Core i7 is great, but it's not such a huge leap over Core 2 that there is an acceptable mainstream space for it. It's more or less a way of Intel moving everything over to the new technology for cheaper manufacturing, as well as a way to launch a new brand and keep the buzz going in the press, thus hopefully helping sales. The actual processor itself, however, does not seem like a significant or even warranted upgrade over the Core 2s.

I think if Intel had released i5 before i7 while releasing the new Xeon 55xx series at the same time as i5 we would see a lot more people being all "OMG!!!!11 i5 is DA BEST CPU EVAAAR!!!!111one".
But Intel apparently decided to wait for... yea, for what did they wait? For all those enthusiasts to jump aboard the i7 cruiser? Well, we'll never know...

Any more pictures of either the BIOS or Windows device manager?
