So what date is it coming out... I can't see anywhere in your post that actually mentions the date in big red letters.... :p

I really can't wait for this. Any idea what it will run like on an XFX 7900GT 256mb?? Can't afford an 8 series graphics card this side of Christmas - Poor student. Anyone wanna give me a couple of hundred quid?

You'll certainly be able to play it. Your card (just) exceeds the "recommended" specs. But don't expect earth shattering performance/FPS

Those requirements don't seem very extreme to me and it'd probably be a wasted experience to play Crysis on those recommended specs.

The recommended requirements there are pretty similar to what I'd consider to be the realistic minimum to enjoy graphically intense current-gen games at a comfortable frame-rate and decent settings.
When you consider that those recommended specs are what you ideally need as a minimum to play STALKER comfortably, they seem a bit optimistic for something like Crysis.

Maybe I'm overestimating the demands Crysis will place on a system, or underestimating Crytek's optimisation skills, but I can see those recommended specs being grossly unrealistic when the game is out.

I wish developers would start including a recommended resolution. For instance, would those specs support 1680x1050 with reasonable settings? I don't know about that.

    You actually have to ask?

    Yes. Beyond recommended.
