hello guys, I am in need of a little advice about a circuit I wish to build...I konw pretty much what I need, but am missing the key component. I need to build a circuit that takes a voltage off of a input of about 5 volots and delays it a very specific amount of time in milliseconds. My idea is to use two relays, one of which is NC and is connecting the normal path of the signal...the other a NO which controls the secondary path...I cannot have both signals flowing at the same time. The relays would both be activated simaltaneously by a switch that is triggered by the operator...this would switch the signal over to flow through the delay circuit...the thing I cannot come up with is how to actually delay the signal a controllable amount, which i need to actually index using a decreasing time curve which i generate. My question is what the heck do I use to controllably delay the signal? I thought about caps and such but have decided not to risk any expesivecomponents (aka the rest of what this attatches to) without consulting the master here. Any suggestions?...I am going to draw up a ircuit diagram as soon as I can find ten minutes.
thank you very much tomek, I have found a lot of stuff on google on the 121, looks like it may work..I don't mean to come of as if I am relying on you guys for everything but do you have any resoueces on the 123..i tried entering it into google and can't come up with any decent resources on it. Thanx again for the help Todd
