Very nice for your first attempt, any pictures of it in action?
EDIT: I can't really find any fault with what you have there.

Check seating mate, temp looks a little on the high (low?) side for DICE. Tube could also be overfilled/no Acetone? What sorta base temps were you seeing?

Otherwise, nice work. Tube looks great.

Seems like it's just containing DICE, which would make it around that -30C temp range. You need some acetone or ethanol to fill in the gaps and really drop the temp down. Acetone will give you -80C.

Tube does look like a fantastic bit of engineering :thumb:

You`ll never see -80 under dice with any kind of heatload

Dice quality, thermal losses and 100W+ heatdump will make sure of that. You`re unlikely to even see it idle

: original post...nice! some nice touches in there :) I have to say though, -47 in BIOS seems a bit off. You should see -63 ishhh ideally (with acetone)

4.7ghz (afaik) with just over 1.8vCore.

Probe temps (base of CPU tube) @ 4.7ghz (1.8vCore) CPU @ idle. Load saw temps dip to ~ -70 or so tube base temp.

Probe stuck in box of DICE. That's about as low as you'll ever see DICE, it sublimes @ ~ -78.

Yes, i wrong when i make base only 30mm diameter. it very small, i think too small to transfer heat.

My X6800 was running mid -70's full load under the cascade 1.84V 4.8 gig but the compressors were hot and it didn't like finnishing benches :(

Bios shot at idle ( bios shows 1.6someat volts but the mobo was vmodded actual volts 1.84 ish )
