dvd shrink

question:

When backing up the main movie files to the hdd under a file name (movie name). How do you make the movie play on the computer by clicking the file name?
If I highlight the movie files and right click, the movies start up in nero but in a random location within the movie.
You can click any of the movie files by themselves and play them, but how do you get them to play in order as a whole?

Use Daemon Tools to mount the .iso, then it'll play like a regular DVD from Media Player/WinAmp/whatever.

 

the .vob files produced should be numbered. open the one with the lowest number first, and then add the rest, in order, to the play queue.

or else back up to an .iso rather than a folder, then mount the iso in daemon tools to play it like you would a physical disk.

 

If you have Power DVD, for me if you click on any .vob file it opens at the beginning automatically.

 

I've associated .ifo files with Windows Media Player. I can then play the whole disk (menus & extras included) straight off the network, without having to bother getting my lazy bum downstairs to the DVD cabinet.
