OK bare with me... I've got everything on my Facebook set to 'Friends Only'.

If someone on my friends list, comments on something I've posted on my own profile... can their friends see it aswell? And can a friend of a friend, but not my friend, see my posts etc?

Probably a stupid question but I wanted to ask it.

No, they can't see it. If you post something on your wall, I comment on it, then my friends (who are not your friends) cannot see my comment or what I've posted the comment against.

    At least, from my understanding...

That's what I thought. Problem is I want to allow someone to be my friend, but they have friend connections to loads of people I don't want to have any access to my profile.

    Didn't you just contradict yourself?

If someone posts something on something on your wall, then their friends won't be able to see it as long as "posts by friends" privacy is set to "only friends"

just don't have it set to the "allow friends of friends to view my profile", and you should be fine.

If everything is friends only, it is just that. What I think they might be able to see is if you comment on your friends wall. They can see that shizzle.
