    ^It's ridiculous, isn't it? How many times is this going to happen before companies actually take password file encryption seriously?

    And they always seem to say how they take security seriously after the horse has bolted.

    They take user security so seriously that they don't even encrypt passwords ? They for real, 'cause whoever wrote that press release should be flogged.

    You never encrypt passwords; you hash and salt them. (Or, if you're Imagine Publishing, you store 'em in plain text 'cos what could go wrong?)
