Yes, i love the colour scheme, and Gigabyte brings a sense of some stability to the motherboard, as much as the R3E is a good board, its a bit unstable with detecting stuff on it.

Yeah its a nice clash of colours that stands out, its a shame that mobo makers dont experiment a bit more with board colours, they seem to get stuck in a rut colour wise, conforming to the old rather than trying new things.

I'm in the market for a new mobo, this looks very pretty but if it's got half the problems that the UD3 has I wont be going anywhere near it!

I totally agree! However almost everyone asks for Black and Black, or Black and Red. It's completely stupefying :/

Some of the new SB mobos look awesome, it's temping to upgrade purely based on that. But I want to see what Bulldozer has to offer before doing anything. Yes I'm a bit of an AMD fan boy but X58 has not been a good trip for me, even as good as it is.

i like the idea of using SATA power connectors as additional power for the PCI-E slots - the sooner molex connectors are phased out completely the better.

Those + and - frequency buttons should become standard on all boards, preferably with front-panel extenders! :D

Easy overclocking for the masses. Almost takes the fun out of it. I think I prefer the old days when overclocking was like a dark art..lol

For the serious money rich gamers, people should be able to order custom made boards direct... the delay in shipping aside, people could choose from a range of colours, maybe designs like uv reactive heatsinks etc...pay the premium and have a custom board made/delivered much like you can with a car..

You will see some of the bigger names in professional gaming designing there own boards schemes effectively bringing 'custom pc' to a new meaning....

Nice mobo but doesn't the first PCI-e slot look way to close to the North bridge heat sink? Like you may have some contact between the backside of the GPU and the heatsink or depending on GPU the heatsink bracket may interfere with installation.

doesnt look any closer than the equivalent on R3E (fine that isnt as prominently sized, but the principle is there) and if it was big on that it wouldnt conflict unless you had a particularly thick gpu backplate (yes watercooling users im looking at you)

Article: 'As usual, Gigabyte has also included its dual-BIOS system, which has saved our asses on several occasions'

Saved your donkeys? Seriously, what country do you come from? I must have spotted this a hundred times on bit-tech over the past few months. What happened?

Yeah I seen this board on HiCookie's facebook, he also done a video of a 990x hitting 6500mhz using this board (and some LN2). When I find the video I will edit the post.

    EDIT/
