You're addicted!, I'm off to the land of nod, please take my place. I will try to post a devilishly difficult production car tomorrow
... A kit, perhaps? I think it looks fibreglass, what with no seams and unusual angles, and the lights look off-the shelf. And... rear engined? I'd guess nonstandard lights, fibreglass, bright orange, rear-engine - Baja Beetle, maybe?
Is! Mass produced in numbers that fit the rules. Buy as rolling chassis and finish yourself. Finish is keywords. Harder than Chinese arithmetic. American and not Manx. john
04:30 hint: the name is also used for a film and a novel by Louis L'Amour and wikipedia won't help john
Good job finding the only one on the interweb. Even the kit car places don't have pics. Run, rascal! john
re:Shalako; it looks like a plastic model kit was produced from the design of the fibreglass kit car, unfortunately in a replica scale (1/20th scale) that was not popular with modelers that tended to customize car model kits. http://www.showrods.com/showrod_pages/shalako.html ha....I knew it wasn't a Dino because Ferrari would never paste on front marker lights like they were an afterthought.
Geek moment, but the picture you posted is not an accurate representation of first pic. The chrome banding is not present on your second photo, P1rates's pic is more representative, it is similar to the one I used to verify my guess. Even though I embrace my 'problem', I need to mix with other humans, so I'm off out, I will post a new one sometime after 11pm
This is very true, the original picture I used was the one that p1RATE posted. However it's the only picture of a 33 that I've found that has that chrome strip, it was also the only one straight on which is what I wanted to crop to. Apologies if it made it slightly harder
