Heyy I wrote a tutorial lens on squidoo and would you guys mind taking a look at it for me? http://www.squidoo.com/pcbuilding I spent quite a lot of time on it, so could you give me some feedback on how I could improve it? Thanks a buuuunch
Great job overall, but there are few things that bug me: - there are plenty of photos of products that you suggest to buy when building your PC, but no illustration to go with the article. - the video is really nice and well made, but the subtitles are hard to read when watched on the small embedded screen. (I think this is because of the yellow table + yellow text color) I really like it though. I remember I tried to make something similar back when I was in process of growing pubs and cared more about free information/education and making tutorials and etc. rather than paying bills. (this was not that long ago actually)
Copy the text out of the page into Word (or similar) - there are several spelling/grammatical errors that are easily rectified. Other than that, good idea!
Oh come off it dude - I'm not a grammar Nazi more than anyone else, but when you've got "rocked" rather than "rocket" in your 3rd sentence it's time for a quick spellcheck.
firstly, awesome job. Its well laid out and easy to read. A few things that could be improved are: 1) A little more detail in some of the hardware description. ie cpu's quad/duo, what sort of price range to go for. Same for graphics cards. 2) Some accompanying photos for actual assembly guide. Ii know theres a video but it would hurt to have the photos and it would help break up the text. 3) maybe have a table somewhere with some example systems. IE office PC, home pc, gaming/enthusiast pc. This would give less confident people a starting place
I do need to add more information in general I think. Thanks for the feedback. Is there anything else that needs improving do you think?
