how much does every one (on average, best guess) spend on each purchase?

I usually only buy 2 items and averages about $200 (hardware plus wires, etc)

If I built an entire system, I usually spend about $1400 worth of hardware.

    you?

    Depends what i'm buying really,

Mod receipts usually tot up to about £40-80

Hardware receipts scare me (~£2-300), and they have to ressurect me after a new pc has been bought (£800-1500) ;)

Tbh, it's not a brilliant question to ask because different hardware costs different. Last month I don't think I bought any hardware, but yesterday I spent £140 on a new sound card. January was a £260 2005fpw, december was nothing I think, november was over a grand on an entire new system (graphics card courtesy of bit-tech - thanks for that :))

Perhaps "how much have you spent in total on hardware?" For some people that would go off my scale (I'm thinking pookeyhead here :D)

I generally don't spend any thing a month on computers but have it all in one go.

    Though it's still pitiful.
About 2 years ago I bought computer £800
About 9 months ago I bought tft £200 (which was looking back at it really over priced)
About 4 months ago bought laptop for £700

I do occasionly spend on hardware but generally I do total upgrades but I don't do many of them not because I can't afford them, well that is a factor but sometimes I can afford them but simply because I rationlise my self out of buying them because I make my self feel I don't really need to as I don't play games for example and it does what I want it.

I hate me I never let me have any fun.

I understand on that one. Sometimes I limit myself, and sometimes I spoil too much. Either way, its annoying. Lol :thumb:

I upgrade when my hardware reaches antique status. I went from a 333MHz Pentium 2 to a 1.2GHz Athlon, then to my current system.I would say that I spend about $500 every other year.

I normally do upgrades every 6 months (whatevers the best spec for the money), but I buy stuff pretty much every other month, mostly bargains off ebay which I then decide I dont need and sell on ebay and make a prophit :)

Spent bout £700 last week and about £200 the week before. Most recent purchase is a Samsung 151 MP - 15" TFT (built in tuner etc) : £78.85 inc post etc :)

That will be it for while though until I can get rid of some stuff on Ebay :worried:

I usually just buy everything in one go. This month has been £50 on a TV card. Last month was £1400 on a new comp. Then before that it must have been September when I spent £250 on an LCD.
