its an old, and i mean real old ships compass (old as in that piece on the right is an oil lamp to light it up) unfortinatily i dont have the heart to scrap it for a case....to bad, i think i could make a killer system....picture a nice small touchscreen lcd where the glass is now on top...could even have the desktop and screensaver be an animated compass bezzel......oh, it would be so cool....
go ahead man, put it to good use. it would make a killer mod (and maybe u could sell it to some rich yuppie to put on his yacht) if not, i'm willing to make a sacrifice and take it...
coolhand that could be worth a fair bit of money as it is if you sell it ot the right person but i agree with you i think there are soem thigns that you just should not rip apart to put a computer in & that compas is one of them as it is in such a good condition it would be a shame to put a computer in it /me ducks as people start throwing things @ me
get it valued by a profetional i had a 1940's radio that turned out to be worth next to nothing that i thought was quite valuable. so its my next mod.
Use the oil lamp as your water reservoir for the mini water-cooling setup... well, I guess not. If the compass still works though, it can be worth something.
even if it doesn't work it can still be worth something... have it appraised m8... never know what it might be worth
