Geforce 9800GT's! Mine is completing a frame a minute (353 point WU) and is estimated to be producing 5200 PPD in Fahmon. WHAT a card :D Tbh I'd be very tempted to put them in the farm instead of 8800's :worried:

I love 'em too. Got 3 9800GT's in 1 rig and they're almost on a par with my 8800GTX.

Excellent! Which 9800's do you have exactly? Mine is an XFX Alpha Dog edition and although I haven't got round to installing it yet, I have an AC Accelero Xtreme 9800 for it, which should make a big difference to temps ;) I wonder if I could get 4 of them in dual slot configuration into a KA92...

I've been getting LOADS of these project 5770 WUs today, and they run really really fast. Check out my benchmarks for it:

    Project : 5770
    Core : GPUv2 Gromacs
    Frames : 100
    Credit : 353

    -- 9800GT --

    Min. Time / Frame : 56s - 5446.29 ppd
    Avg. Time / Frame : 56s - 5446.29 ppd
    Cur. Time / Frame : 56s - 5446.29 ppd
    R3F. Time / Frame : 56s - 5446.29 ppd
    Eff. Time / Frame : 56s - 5446.29 ppd

I really like this card, and would consider more of them for the farm, although I might be better off spending the money on 295's in the future than spending ~£100/ card on up to 10 of these.

    For comparison purposes .....

    Code:
     Project : 5770
     Core : GPUv2 Gromacs
     Frames : 100
     Credit : 353

     -- c7p6t GPU4 GTX295 --
     Avg. Time / Frame : 43s - 7092.84 ppd

     -- c2ep45ex GPU1 GTX260 --
     Avg. Time / Frame : 41s - 7438.83 ppd

     -- c2p5kp GPU2 9800GX2 --
     Avg. Time / Frame : 57s - 5350.74 ppd

PS. The shader clock is at 1440 on the GTX260. Others are defaults.

I'm assuming that will be per core, so double points per card making it approx 14200 PPD? Got to be a good buy in anyone's book. I'm definitely saving for one of those!

Yes, I read the other thread. Good for you! I did consider jumping in over there and waffling about overclocking shaders, and seeing if you can get some more PPD out of your cards, but thought better of it. Core clocks and memory speeds don't make a lot of difference, shader speed does. I expect saspro will reply back to you about rivatuner. Best left to the Windows experts, and that's not me! ;) I'm glad you got up and running.

My watercooled 88GT was doing something similar to the 98GT, but it does dump a lot of heat into the loop

That 260 is a great card Jack! I might have to sneak one or two of those into the farm ;) Although I would rather have 295's... hmmmm
