well my screwdriver slipped and scratched my plastic window, i was thinking or tinting it to cover it up, would tint film hide the scratch? or am i going to have to buy a new window or simply frost it? any ideas?
You might be able to polish it out. Use high grit sandpaper followed by polishing creme (or toothpaste). I've done it with acrylic before.
brasso comes to mind instantly... umm yeh try using a super fine grit sand paper and see how that goes, also i think this is the wrong section. Shouldnt this be in disaster mods???
well, its not a disaster mod YET thanks for the suggestions! can u subtitute brasso for an alternative random metal polish?? depends what my mums got in her kitchen and as for the paper, what am i using? 1500 or the highest number i can find worst case is that it messes up and gets more scratches from the sandpaper and i just frost it!
I've got some stuff thats made for polishing acrylic. Try the metal polish, if that fails or your arm falls off, go the sandpaper route, followed by the polish. We don't know how bad the scratch is.
well i dont yet have a camera yet so i cant show you, but looking at it, its more of a chip, maybe ill polish (not north-west of germany, the otherkind) it. yes, i could etch something in, that way i wouldnt need to hide it, it could be the center peice thanks for the help! im staying over at my dads house right now, it'l be friday before i can do anything about it, but ill let you know how it goes on.
a chip? so that's a mini gouge then? Etching sounds like a good plan to me, unless it's more scratch than mini gouge
found a problem with etching, i have hands worse than most parkinsons' sufferers.....too much sugar i think...... <- thats me keeping my hands as steady as i can! im sure ill figure something out
cos im just a kid and i dont have holesaw, or a drill. but yeah i could do that, as soon as i find a way to get some plastic
