    Hi guys,

I will be moving rooms in my house soon and looking to move my server into a different location.

I'm looking to be able to keep remote visible access via a KVM. Just wondering if there are any decently priced (like sub £100) that would do the job?

Mainly looking for one that works over a TCP/IP network or one that works point to point over a ethernet cable

Best to say what operating systems you are using. Only then we can give the right info.

I picked up an old KVM over IP box quite cheap on ebay for the same reason, maybe have a look there?

its a linux server that i use. i have remote ssh onto it but at times it's not come back up after a reboot and if its hidden away i need to be able to get onto the main screen to see why.

i've been looking on ebay on and off but couldn't see anything there within the price range. haven't checked recently so i'll take another look.

Maybe an IPMI remote management card? I suspect you should be able to find something older like an eRIC on ebay or someplace for cheap enough. There are many others as well, but be careful as some of them appear to be like pci or pci-e but are not and only will work on certain motherboards proprietary ipmi slots.
