Are those prices the right way round? As currently it makes it almost half price in the US of that in the UK.

I expected it to cost more tbh, at $70 it's only slightly more than their other similar products.

I don't think it'll be marked up at all. More likely it'll go down. I know we pay over the odds compared to the US, but its almost never more in pounds than it is in dollars.

I love the Nixie tubes, but the black housing is totally out of sync with the design.

The Lamptron website does show them in lots of different colours, but they all look very plastiky.

For the love of god someone use this in a rust styled mod!

It's been a while since I looked at a new product and actually got goosebumps like I just did...

I absolutely ADORE that display technology, there's no way that thing can visually fit into my case but i might get one just to have it.

You could build a Nixie tube display yourself, if space is a problem - 18mm tubes go for about £2-3 each on eBay NOS.

The FC10 is on pre-order in the US for around $70 but we've only been given a rough figure of about £100 for the UK so far, where it's not available yet. We can't give any further info than that at the moment hence this is a preview rather than a review and there are no scores.

There are kits available online... Although you have to be fairly good at soldering.... If you have the money..go all in & buy the IN18 tube kit... Large soviet era tubes..rare & expensive but good... Mine are Burroughs-Made in England tubes & give off an orange-purplish glow...
