Linux Making the switch

    You can download a live version of ubuntu specific to amd64. I've tried it and, although it takes a while for it to set up, it works great.

    And just an update, the new version of Ubuntu is up, and looks pretty nice, I'll be installing it over the weekend.

    ...Slack...ware? *wagh*

    I started on slackware (tried mandrake, didn't like it). Therefore i'm biased to liking it. Probably not the best idea to start with if you're not very good with dealing with frustration. I like the way it feels, if that makes sense.
