Wasn't the previous plan to release feature updates every 8 months, if so how is reducing the time corporate environments have to test things by two months simplifying things?

I think MS are over-estimating the number of corporates who are on Win10 and care about these things. My employer (a large multinational) is - along with, I imagine, a lot of other large companies - still on Win7 with no imminent plans to upgrade any time soon.

You're not the only one thinking that, according to Spiceworks Windows 10 only has a 9% share of businesses devices.

Depends what sector you are in. Some VLC's in the financial sector are testing Win10 deployments. Regulatory requirements to be running on supported and safe software etc will force the financial companies, banks etc, onto windows 10 shortly.

So, it's now a new opportunity to botch your machine every 6 months. Yay?

Regulator: Windows 7 is not longer being updated
Enterprise: UPGRADE EVERYTHING TO WINDOWS 10 YESTERDAY

Can you hear the resigned laughter of madness from the IT dungeons?
