i have had a very large mod/build, in the works, and finally have all the plans drawn out and stuff, but im stuck, i have no money, i opened my wallet the other day, and i had $2, i am 15, and need money, if any of you have any ideas, as to whether i should get a job or whatelse, please help good day, happy modding, and happy holidays
If you dont get resonable amount of pocket money then you prob have no other choice than to get a job. My advice is to get a weekend one so it wont get in the way of school. Also earning money feels more rewarding than hand outs from parents or the system etc. Anyways good luck on your mod plan!
I started repairing/upgrading computers through a small ad in the local paper at age 13, and I'm still doing it at 16. The money is great and the work is REALLY easy. I started off with no qualifications and learnt as I went along. Just a suggestion, if you want more info email me.
Jobs rule, its not true about not getting in the way of school work tho, I'd love to have my weekends back But on the plus side.. i have more money than i can spend (within reason)
McDonalds will hire you at 15 if they've got open positions... minimum work at minimum wage, but its an easy job and will put money in your pocket..
careful you don't get done over disposable income rules in the last year i've built my PC (£900) and bought loadsa gadgets all off the back of earning £4.605/hour stacking shelves... ...admittedly i did quit towards the end of summer but i'm weak and went back :s good thing was - being a full time student i made a few £300+ paycheques with no tax other than national insurance *n
who dya stack shelves for? I'm a Tesco man myself 5.15 an hour aint bad and allmost £8 an hour on Sunday is even better
Some weeks are great, some weeks are not so great. You have to be prepared not to have a steady income, and it does depend a lot on the competition in your area.
Get a job If I was still a student, learning in uni basically what I've already done GCSE, A-Level and personally I wouldn't be able to afford my baby - Whats funny is all the people who have money from parents and are in uni learning "Welsh history" ooohhh! Etc all think my parents bought it for me, when I say to them.... um no I bought it myself theyre all shocked, and can't understand how I can afford it after leaving Uni.... ummmm Getting a job? Misdirection people, misdirection...
I'd love to get a job building computers but I dont know where to start. Looks like ill have to stick to my job as a Kitchen Assistant for Compass Group. Screwy £4.30/hour.
i finally got myself a job. as a librarian. not as bad as it sounds. its £5 an hour base rate and the scale goes upi relatively quickly. it also looks better on ucas forms and cvs than working in mcdonalds or at a service station.
