I figured this is probably the best place to get a good answer on this...

I have a 17" CRT Touchscreen, made by Elo Touchsystems.
Today it just suddenly stopped working. No pop, no bang, no burnt electronics smells. It just turned off, and won't turn back on. It is about 18 months old. Up to this point it was working perfectly. This screen was powered off a UPS with usual surge protection etc.

I opened it up and found the fuse, it is a 250v 3.15A, and the tube was completely white on the inside... does this indicate it is blown? I couldnt check whether it conducts or not.
Furthermore, do you guys reckon the screen is FUBAR or is there a chance it could be resurrected?
If you need more info to try help just ask and i'll try and find out for you.
    Cheers.

try either replacing the fuse, or checking it for conductivity. they sometimes make fuses that are all white.. don't know why seems stupid to me.. but yea. also you might wanna make sure the ups didn't poop out for one reason or another.

Hmm, i'll check the fuse some time today. The UPS was fine, everything else attached to it kept running fine.
