I've been doing this sport for quite a while and the best way to describe it is a cross between skateboarding and snowboarding. Got into it by buying my own board then practising anywhere I could until I got reasonably good at staying upright. Just wondering if anyone else had tried it?

Some pics of me down in Wales:

I had an afternoon of it on a PGL holiday in France a few years ago and I found it very enjoyable, easy to pick up. I didn't do any jumps or anything but even so, it was a good laugh.

Yep that's what I found, and it's easier than something like snowboarding because you just lean to turn.

I picked up snowboarding in 3 hours or less. I cant even stand on a skateboard to move off.
    Mountain boarding looks fun.

I have seen someone mountainbording with a parafoil. They wer able to get great air!

Looks fun but I think I would hurt my self. Snow is a little more forgiving and I like 2 planks :D

Yeah thinking of getting myself a kite...they're so expensive though so it might have to be a crimbo present :D

It really is hard to fall off one of these. As long as you're going reasonably quick (average cycling speed I'd say) then you can pretty much turn quite easily.

PS: eww skis, snowboarding every time...
