simple Q really.
whats the best one? looking at price/performance/features ratio
imo go for an MX510
if you insist on wireless, the MX1000 is the winner
i've tryed an MX500 (wired, less resolution then an MX510) and an MX700 (same as mx500, but wireless) side by side, and although logitech make some of the best Wireless mice, the MX500 still felt more responsive then the MX700. I also didn't like the weight factor of the MX700, as i pick up my mouse off the mousepad quite a bit when gaming.
The mx1000 uses true "lazer" tracking, but i still don't like the very slight latency with wireless mice.
I have blue performance 510 and will never look away awsome mouse awsome features. Only prob is when playing games like RTCW:enemy territory there is no extra mouse button functions so when you hit them it will open a windows utility(for me) like window selector and mess up the game but i dont hit them to often. Oh the feal of the mouse is completly perfect fits perfectly in your hand.
i have the MX900 (same as the MX700, but Bluetooth rather than IR ) and i love it. some people complain that they dont like the weight of wireless mice, but i do. it gives it a more tactile feel. very responsive (Bluetooth is supposed to be much quicker response than IR ) and awesome tracking. battery life is only about 3 days, but i dock it every night when i go to bed and its fine.
I have the red MX510, but it's got to be the MX1000 really. The thing rocks .
Intellimouse Explorer = Best gaming mouse of all time.
Lightest by far.
With the USB rate hack, it's just a smooth as anything else out there.
i got the MX1000 - bargain - talked em down to half price as it was last 1 in stock
Gotta go for the MX100 IMHO. Best mouse I have ever used, Period. The "slight" latency is not noticeable at all in games, and unless you are removing the mouse from the pad and placing it back down then there just isnt any.
The wireless version is also quite nice
I have the leather one and it r0x0rz my b0x0r
Indeed. I am currently using the 4th version of it. I would recommend to get this l33t mouse.
doesn't the Intellimouse Explorer use that smooth wheel? I used a smooth wheel mouse by MS at my cousin's house and frankly it was crap. I couldn't scroll through weapons for crap.
I use the mx700, I love the weight..I would assume that the mx1000 is just a beaut. Wouldn't upgrade though.
i agree. i used a wireless version a microsoft mouse that had the "4-way scrolling" for awhile, and the side-to-side scrolling WAS nice, however. with the smooth scroll wheel its impossible to accurately scroll through weapons. i suggest the MX1000, but if thats too pricey, shoot for the MX700/MX900
Install the drivers for it and it gets much better.
It takes some practice, but now that I'm used to it I wouldn't go back if you paid me
Best for gaming is MX510+Steelpad4D. 100%
Would somebody care to link us to this hack.
mx510 with Icemat perfek
Red MX510 on an original ratpad sprayed with pledge (the furniture polish). "It's like buttah!"
i'd go microsoft all the way. i much prefer the shape. i really wanted an mx1000 but they just don't feel comfortable. althjough i don't see the problem with the weight...
Logitech Laser mouse is supposed to the latest and greatest. You'll have to go to their web site to look up the model number.
