And, as seems to be normal now, the driver is not yet available on geforce.com.

I recently tried benchmarking my Nvidia GPU with the Time Spy benchmark. I was wondering what on earth was going on with all the flickering - thought I had a hardware problem, and spent an evening trying to diagnose it, until I came across the driver thread on the Geforce forums. Time to upgrade to the Hotfix, and thanks a lot Nvidia :)

A feckin' half terabyte ! it wouldn't be so bad if it were only every 6-12 months but it seems to be monthly the driver updates.

    Wait... what? <clicks on link>

...it's half a gigabyte, not terabyte. You had me wondering what the hell Nvidia was doing, there!

I don't know if it's just me, but I don't typically update my GPU drivers with every single new release. I tend to install the most recent version when I get a new GPU and then upgrade if there are significant issues (like this CPU usage issue) or if the more recent drivers give major performance boosts in games that I'm particularly keen on playing and am struggling with the current drivers. I kind of subscribe to the "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" school of thought when it comes to drivers, unless the new versions add something that I actually need.

    And as Gareth says, it's ~500MB not ~500GB :D

No, I didn't. I guess why you might think that, though. Just thought it was funny/interesting to see the second hotfix in a row not show up on their own driver distribution page.

Also, I love the fact you used the pluralis majestatis but next time just say "he". ;)

Sorry folks yes its a half gig, but its still terrible. I don't update every single time but then I always have a nagging thought in my head that something terrible will happen because they always say to keep your drivers up to date.
I guess I just miss the old days when a driver was only 5mb and installed in seconds.

Fair enough. To be honest, I'd quite enjoy people using the Royal We with me .. us.

They've also released 430.64 drivers due to a major security flaw.
