    Hi,

I’m kind of new at this, as I have just recently discovered this site and I need some help. I’m in the market for a new laptop, and I’m not sure what to do in terms of graphics. Both these machines seem fairly similar, save the GPU. I will be using the machine for some gaming (cod4, bf2), but mostly for school, so I need to be able to render with high performance, 3ds max, form z, rhino, maya. So please help

    M50

I would go with the M50, neither is a power-house graphics wise though.

    Thirded!

both are nigh on identical, save the gpu and cpu speed. I'd advise the faster processor, it'll help out. I've no idea how the ati card runs, but don't expect world wonders from the 9500 either

do you really need a laptop? i think you'd find a desktop significantly for what you want it to do and have real upgrade options.

My suggestions, Nvidia all the way for graphics but ATI is good for sounds (Sound drivers and cards)
