Gaming? Photoshop? Web browsing? etc High-medium gaming, web browsing, and for study. 2) What's your budget? Are tax and shipping included? Not more than €1,000.00=$1,249.74 3) Which country do you live in? If the U.S, please tell us the state and city if possible. The Netherlands 4) What exact parts do you need for that budget? CPU, RAM, case, etc. The word "Everything" is not a valid answer. Please list out all the parts you'll need. See list 5) If reusing any parts, what parts will you be reusing? Please be especially specific about the power supply. List make and model. Yes, a LG Flatron W2243S-PF monitor and a brother DCP-130c. 6) Will you be overclocking? No 7) What is the max resolution of your monitor? What size is it? 1920x1080 8) When do you plan on building/buying the PC? September. 9) What features do you need in a motherboard? RAID? Firewire? Crossfire or SLI support? USB 3.0? SATA 6Gb/s? eSATA? Onboard video (as a backup or main GPU)? UEFI? etc. I don’t need Crossfire or SLI and Firewire. I do like USB 3.0 and SATA 6Gb/s. Onboard gpu and UEFI would be nice but is not necessary. So a good H77 mobo would be perfect for me. 10) Do you already have a legit and reusable/transferable OS key/license? If yes, what OS? Is it 32bit or 64bit? Yes, Windows 7 Ultimate 64bit. also give me reasons why I shouldn't get the stock cooler.
Maybe there's a cheaper motherboard available? I haven't checked the prices thoroughly but I think you can get a Z77 board for that price (that H77 board is quite pricey). As you won't be overclocking, any cheap motherboard should do. edit: http://forums.bit-tech.net/showthread.php?t=242848 You might want to squeeze in some 1600MHz RAM -- should be the same price, but faster. Do you have an SSD? It's a massive speed boost. Noise. The heatsink is tiny, the fan is 80mm, so it takes quite a few RPM to cool a 77W chip.
