I have a question for everyone. I'm in need of a little help. When I hook up my IDE cables with cd rom and dvd drive on one ide and HD on the other IDE cable, my computer won't boot up. I just get a blank screen, however, when I unhook the cd and dvd drives completely, including molexes, the computer starts just fine. What is the deal? Anyone know? The HD, cd and dvd drive are all hooked up on the same line of molex cables. This isn't the problem is it?

Could also be a faulty power supply, or maybe it just cant (sometimes can) quite supply enough power :thumb: .

Having your HDDs and CDs all on one molex "line" shouldn't prevent the PC from booting. Normally, I would say reseat the IDE cables and check your jumper settings to be sure you don't have 2 masters or 2 slaves on the same IDE channel. If that didn't work I would recommend resetting the CMOS.

    Congrats on getting it fixed!
