Hi hi hi there. I purchased a new case not too long ago and have only just mustered up the courage to go all psycho surgeon on it. I had drawn up a design I wanted for my last case but never used it. Anyways here is how she turned out: The “drawing board” Starting points for the jigsaw Cut, but not clean What was left of the cutting wheel after the corners A bit of comparison for those who don’t know Cleaned up with the sanding drum and looking pretty A closer shot Sexy yea? PCCG Edge trimming One last time I decided to use the PCCG C-strip after staring at it for a while thinking it looked ‘plain’. In my opinion its come up a shiner. So what do yas think? All comments welcomed.
that stripping job looks a lot better than most. Props for using the smaller, thinner stuff. Looks waaay better.
One question.. where did ya get that trim? it looks great.. I been looking for something that size for a while.. I never botherd with trim on my mods.. but this one needs it.. other than that... I love that window.. great job looks sexy as mess
I see that you're in the US... You can get window trim at major auto-parts stores like AutoZone, NAPA and Parts America...
Thanks to everyone for the comments, much apreciated. Small Update: Today I had a go at the DVD, looks ok. Again with the planning. Slot cut. Fashioned up a button from a broke dremel thingy. With button hole drilled. Finished. Attempt at candy. Yet to put the finishing cleanup touches on it. But its looking ok still. Just need to pick up a smaller file.
A very nice stealthing. I really like the work on the slot loader. Also the drive above it is unique. Not the usual faceplate stealthing, which is good. Watercooling sounds nice too...
I must shamefully admit that the CD-RW bay cover is a pre-fab from lian-li. It was purchased when I purchased the case.
Nice work! I really like hte way your side window turned out, it kind of plain, but it just seem to of been made for that location, with that layout! Good Work!
Been a while so heres a couple of quick things. 30.06.04 Update: 1 of 2 When I started this project I was planning some h20 action. Don't worry thats still the idea but its been a little delayed (money money money). Heres the 2 120mm evercools for the rad in the lid. Here's the two baby's that will reside in the top of the case. Again with the planning. 1) Cover with masking tape (dont want any scratches now do we? 2) Where to cut/Drill. Measure twice 3) In more detail. Then we move onto the cutting. The result. Not all that bad? Behind the scenes. All done and back together. I can't wait to get my hands on the rest of the gear needed to finish this project. I havnt had a great deal of time to work on the case due to work.
err dude. I hope that rad is either external or thin, because i know there's no way a BIX or equivalent will fit up there with the power supply and all.
I like the looks of your LiLi, they black molding on alu background is ok. perhaps somehow get some black molding somewhere in the front? n1 man
Very nice look Its clean, I like that for your window is that an opening or is there acrylic on it also if your useing h20 you might want to position your reservoir above the rad to keep air out of your system also you said you moved the power supply, was there any challenge in doing that?
Love the overall clean look of the case, especially how the top fan grills appear to sit flush with the top panel. Those two 120mm fans must move a lot of hot air from the top as well. Very nice design. I agree with the person who said you should somehow incorporate the molding into the front of the case (or at least have something black in the front), so you can achieve a somewhat more constant look. Overall, a great job. Mod on!
wow looking very professional 1usd= what in aussi dollars? i need pics of your psu relocation for my mod!!!
