We call it a Stanley Knife down here. But Stanley is a brand so thats not technically correct... Nice work. Seems a lot of people are using that drill method for cutting holes...might have to give it a go until i get my jigsaw/dremel.
Part 4.1 Led's, Button & Switch I need to make my own buttons, I was thinking in using some led's to light then up... so I used this simple connection. I used some ideas from this "how-to" - http://forums.bit-tech.net/printthread.php?threadid=32590 http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/leds2.jpg [Sorry aboute this next pictures, the quality is a disgrace but it's possible to see the essencial ideas...] I started to make my own buttons of spare acrilic http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_3.jpg Then i decided were to put the buttons http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_4.jpg got to open it up http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_5.jpg http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_6.jpg http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_66.jpg In the case I also had to open some holes http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_7.jpg the acrilic also need some spare space to put the led's into place http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_12.jpg the aluminium holes for the bottons http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_13.jpg Here I drilled the center of the button in order to put in the switch http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_10.jpg http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_11.jpg
Part 4.2 Led's, Button & Switch to put the bottons into place, I used some spare aluminium and I built a support for the switch http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_14.jpg switch in place... (****ty photo :S) http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_16.jpg this was the first time I also worked with led's... http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_17.jpg done.. http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_18.jpg putting the led's in the right position... http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/2_19.jpg the 2 led's in position http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/digi1.jpg the support for switch http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/digi3.jpg here it's possible to see the spare acrilic that I used to put the led at the right position http://pwp.netcabo.pt/0144621501/projecto/fotos/digi2.jpg Testing!!!! not bad for the first try with this
