Project: Grunnsetning 28 September I decided to finally start a log on my new case. It's nothing to fancy, just a clean/stealthy functional Lian Li WCed rig. Yes, a lot of the idea's I am using came from other peoples rigs. Thats the whole point of us all being here. Finding what we like and putting our own little touch to it. So please if you see anything here you'd like to use, i'd be honored if you used it in your own rig. PLEASE POST ANY COMMENTS/SUGGESTIONS IN THE DISCUSSION FORUM LOCATED HERE System Info: AMD 64 3200+ FX 5900 Ultra 256mb Video Card Audigy 2 ZS Sound Card 74GB Raptor SATA HD 200GB SATA Seagate just for storage 1 Gig RAM(Generic atm, need to upgrade) Everythings pretty basic from there: 2 DVD drives 1 Floppy 550W PSU Watercooling components: DangerDen TDX 3/8" CPU DangerDen Maze4 3/8" GPU DangerDen 5 1/4 Bay Res Black Ice Extreme3 Radiator DangerDen DDC-12V Pump (upgrading to the DD-D5 tommorrow) DangerDen 3/8" Fillport *Notice ALL of my watercooling gear came from Danger Den I can't stress enough that thier product is of the highest quality and they have the customer service to match. The basic color scheme is Black with some polished pieces/parts. I started off with a basic Lian Li PC-75B, due to the high amount of room inside the case and the quality of Lian Li's in general. My poor brand new case, all apart The first thing I did was determine how I could free up a little room and make the wires for the HDs hidden. After fooling around I came up with this. All I did was take the original HD rack, flip it, turn it, cut it and drilled a few holes for ventilation.Even speaker still fits in the stock location. Next up was cutting a hole in the MB tray to make swapping water blocks a lot easier. Also if I ever want to add a NB waterblock I won't have to take the whole MB out. I started out with making a duplicate of my MB out of 1/4 MDF(since I have all of my gear in another computer atm) and it will give me a template I can cut, sand etc...All I had to do from there was throw it on the router. Then came all of the holes for my wiring to the MB. Next on the list was a mount for my fan controller, it's a Thermaltake 4 fan one that came in a older case I purchased. I just need a mount for the knobs themselves, I didn't want to put the whole ugly 5 1/4 assembly in. So I made my template out of 3/4 MDF. Eventually this piece will be made out of black plexi. Don't mind the uneven screw holes, that was just from mounting the wood to a square. *Note my homemade router table, it was made out of my old computer desk aka. current work bench. I then fitted my barrier strips(to eliminate some of the connectors) And of course a pic of some of the goodies.
