Modding Question aobut Cold Cathodes

    how many can you wire in a single computer? i know that some have the "pass through" type of power connectors and was wondering if oyu cna jsut keep connecting them together forever....

    whats the most you can put?

    i ahve 3 in mine, and was windering if i cna put even more....

    Depends on your PSU rating. They take about 3 watts each im told, so not that much.

    i have a 400 watt psu.....

    i wonder how much my other devices take up...

    I have 3 in mine all tied together and i have a cheapo 250w psu.

    you dont have to have them all in line using those pass through connectors, you could just wire them all into one power connector or onto a switch, then it would keep the wiring neater too.

    Yeah, theoretically you should just be able to keep adding them until the psu can no longer cope, but I would say thats going to be a damn lot of cathodes :)

    but as cathodes are so bright - why use so many?

    sounds nuts to me

    you'll run out of places to put them before you run out of power.

    think about it.
