I saw it earlier on gamespot, seems to be going round the net real fast, its funny. Oh and notice how the circle is RED
Haha. Thats pretty funny. I really never liked the "360" for some reason. I guess MS couldn't just call it the Xbox 2 like Sony did for their 2nd Playstation...so they copied their controller buttons instead. Haha.
They didn't want to sound last generation with a two with the PS3 having a three. The 360 is to signify a full revolution, i.e. turning around and going in the same direction.
I've seen a slightly different one where the triangle is used instead of the circle. The triangle has three-60 degree angles, giving the "360" and the red ring represents the RROD.
the first xbox was a hardware implementation of direct x with a minimal kernel. a DirectX box. X Box. Xbox. with the 360, the speculation about not wanting to sound last gen with an xbox 2 vs. a ps3 are AFAIK correct; the 360 is meant to imply the xbox coming full circle. what they'll call the third xbox is anyone's guess
Hmm...Xbox Pi, who wants a slice? Better still Xbox Cheesecake, a slice is not enough, I want the whole thing!
watch all the sony fanboys get all proud of their selfs. Not being funny but the 360 has better graphics http://uk.gamespot.com/features/6202552/index.html?om_act=convert&om_clk=picks&tag=picks;title;1 Above
what the next gen going to be called, by trying not too sound behind, they may have caused themselfs a naming problem... credit crunch box... CCX
