Found that someone has changed the slogan on dixons website to "The last place you want to go" guessing they didn't like them.

Erm, as stupid as it sounds, I believe that's their official slogan. I'm sure I've seen it on a poster or billboard somewhere.

That poster is around on the London Underground, gave me a very good chuckle to myself while waiting for a tube :hehe:

Not exactly a great slogan... but I can see what they are trying to do. I think

the funny thing is, by drawing attention to the fact that their website is cheaper than selfridges/JL/wherever, and making you think 'i'll get it on the internet', consumers are more than likely going to discover that dixons is actually one of the most expensive eTailers out there

"the last place you want to go" as in you'll not use another site ever again afterwards. I think.

Funny you say that - I went into Currys and was after a new fridge freezer and washer/dryer. I noted the prices and specs down and out of curiosity checked the dixons site where the same items could be had for a grand total of £70 less, with free delivery! I couldn't find them cheaper anywhere else, either.

I also bought a brand new Nikon 55-200 DX lens from dixons for £99.99! Bloomin' bargain!
