somthing different with El REG

    Something aprears to be different with El Reg this morning. I cant put my finger on it but i have an urge to look for "cloneing" and "French ski resorts" :lol:

    Can anyone spot the difference :hehe:

    I dont remember what it used to look like anyway :hehe: (was it red?), but imo it now looks like some cheap-ass search engine, you know one of those that just pops up then dies.

    i cant say i look at their actual page most of the time as i use their rss feeds instead but it used to be red! what have they done it looks odd now!

    The only thing i think looks at all different are the edges of "panels" of colour appear to be sort of bevelled which i don't recall seeing before.

    They're always fiddling with the colours, they usually restrict the changes to the categories though. First time I've seen the main page change from their trademark red. I hope they change it back again.

    Yes I know that was rather scary, wasn't it.

    I had to use IE though, as Firefox doesn't display some of the images the same way, plus all the MSN adverts were blocked. :D

    All the MS and MSN Search Adverts suggests this is a markerting gimmick - especially as the only ad for the Register is still in Red (bottom left).
