I killed a PSU today with my cheap fanbus.

2 ground wired touched and it just powered down.

so after i managed to swallow my stomach again and switch psu's with my gf's pc and my pc booted faultlessly i felt a bit better but no less stupid for not pulling the molux out the back before adjusting the wiring.

 Try it again, it may still work.

I had one short out on me once. If it's a good one, it should have inbuilt short circuit and overload protection.

You need to remove power to it to reset the trip.

Gotta be worth a try. :)
