This blew my fragile little mind.
(psst. he's not really playing the thing. the audio is put through some gubbins which modulate a square wave through the tesla coil. he just pretends to play - in reality his role could be taken by any earthed conductor)
still - best use of a tesla coil to play music, ever.
Mario bros theme tune is better
Oh my lord...
So, physics project next year?
Ooooh yeah. Tesla cheesecake.
I wish I had the time/impetus to build a tesla coil - my bedroom needs defending dammit!
Is it wrong for my first brainwave was: "I want to try that!" instead of "That's dangerous".
Nerds: killing themselves in the name of science
Just a theremin on steroids...
Looks like a patio heater with a direct feed off the national grid
It's not even that. Someome has to actually play a theramin, the tesla would sound the same even if it grounded through a pole in the ground.
I really don't know what the idea behind the guy in the suit is, like someone playing air guitar lol
The most bada** air guitar ever!
It only qualifies for bad@$$ if he was doing it without the Faraday suit.
I have a cunning plan...
I love watching that flickering light actually stop flickering in the video whenever the coil is discharging.
Sweetness... although people have been doing this for some time... without a suit.. lol (woo hoo, extra danger!)
holy crap... that is awesome.... i want one...
