Good times, I should have a few new tanks to get home to.

That should give me 6 t7 tanks now. Good times.

 

I'm afraid not. HE is slightly confusing when it comes to the messages, as there's "penetration", bouncing and penetration. The first is where the round does damage but explodes on the outside of the tank, the second means the round hasn't gone off/does no damage when it explodes and the third means that the penetration value of the round (61mm I think in this case) was actually enough to penetrate the enemy tank in the conventional sense, and goes straight into the tank - this is when you'll see high damage.

Time to fire up the tanks for free stuff again. Still gutted about my IS4 moving to a tier 10 hope the replacement is just as good.

Just played one of the new maps - Dragon Ridge - and got my first Raider badge in my S-51. The way it went down was that nobody had a clue about the map, so I went and sat as far back as possible. I got some decent hits on some tanks and eventually both teams were whittled down until there was myself, a Hummel, T34 and an ISU on my team, an Object 704 and an SU-8 on the opponents.

Then the Object took out our T34, and our ISU insisted on waiting for the Object to attack our base. I decided to go scouting and found the SU-8, which the Hummel destroyed. The SU-8 hadn't realised he'd been spotted, so asked what had happened. By this time I was sitting in their base, looking for where the Object could come from. The ISU came to the top of the ridge and basically covered me, waiting for the Object but he never arrived.

TL;DR: I scored 100% capture, Raider & Invader badge.

 

KV-2 is a totally pointless tank now. The days of using it as a money maker are over.

 

What's worth keeping out of all the Russian split tanks?

 

Well, out of the KV split, the KV-2 is easily the best by a country mile. It's a faster, tougher and just generally better all round KV, win. The T-150 is utterly useless in every respect. The KV-1 is just a bit meh, it does the job but isn't great.

The KV-3 is brilliant fun now, I used to hate it.

One thing i have noticed from tonights playing is that they've totally borked the visibility of the IS-3. I had one shoot me, didn't reveal, and then magically revealed from about 65m. That's balls.

 

got back into world of tanks after a 6 month break. so many new tanks and maps. finally unlocked the tiger and jadgpanther that i have long sought.


having lots fun again and 2 of my real life ftiends are along for the ride again but imo the matchmaking is still a little dodgy, all too often we end up at the bottom of the tree tank level wise, against tanks we have no hope of defeating.

 

Oooohh. New patch. Need to update and start playing again.

 

Some great games last night.

Thanks to Marvin, Sharpe, Finger66 and Lizard for some excelent runs, made so much XP I went through over 500 gold converting it to get my IS-3 and 95% of the way to get my AMX-13 90 which I should unlock tonight.

In 5 games with Finger I managed to rack up 6k xp with no first win bonus's.

I'm loving dragon ridge, but not so keen on south. They have a real different dynamic.

 

That's because I did all the hard work and you snuck in and stole all my kills....
