not to bad, i have a inspiron 6400, my specs are slightly different though, but it powers through any to most tasks i through at it! so all in all i would say a good bargin! but do you really need 3 year on site warranty? would knock £150+ off if you take it off!

Its for my brother and he's likely to break something at some point. So I think I might as well get it as its within the specified budget.

I also got my laptop (XPS M1210) with a 3yr warranty - I figured why not as thats how long I will be using this laptop.

Hey SG, have a quick gander at Dell Outlet before you commit - they have an Inspiron 6400 (admittedly with half the RAM and a smaller HDD) for £458.
Might be something there for you. :thumb:

Don't forget to add on the £50 delivery charge if buying from the Outlet site.

The Dell outlet price does not include VAT or delivery. Also once you add on the 3yr warranty, the price becomes much closer to the original - so once the upgrades to match spec are done, it works out so that its better to get this one. That way it will be perfect - no chance of cosmetic damage or refurbed items etc.

But yes, it is worth checking out Dell Outlet as there are some really good deals around at times.
